What's Going On in the Classroom?

Forensics

Ms. Garcia-Gordon's Forensic Science classes created scale drawings of crime scenes and models to use for evidence collecting techniques!

Students in Ms. Garcia-Gordon's Forensics class conducted an investigation to determine the origin of an unknown fiber sample.

A representative from the FBI gave a presentation to our Forensic Science students!

Environmental Science

Students in Ms. Ryan's Environmental Science class worked in the greenhouse!

Students in Ms. Ryan's AP Environmental Science assessed their own personal waste inventories!

Students in Ms. Ryan's Environmental Science classes created art from their plastic waste!

Earth and Space Science

Students in Ms. Garcia-Gordon's Earth and Space Science class created a map of the local vicinity of our galaxy using longitudinal markers.

Biology

Students in Ms. Russell's Biology class conducted an experiment of acid rain in Newton Lake.

Chemistry

Chemistry students at HTHS modeled various molecules and compounds using brand new Happy Atoms Modeling Kits that were purchased via an HTEF Grant!

AP Chemistry students tested galvanic cells they made use different metals!

AP Chemistry students used a redox titration to determine the concentration of store-bought hydrogen peroxide.

Ms. Campbell's Chemistry class examined oxidation and reduction of different metals!

Physics

Ms. Garcia-Gordon's Lab Physics Advanced class participates in monthly engineering challenges. In December, they were asked to build bridges using only pennies.
