Hello, Class of 2026! Relevant information to the 2025-2026 college application process will continue to be posted on this site. The Common Application for the Class of 2026 can be found at commonapp.org. Please view the video clips that follow to assist you on any of the Common App sections. Register for SATs
Most colleges and universities added test optional policies for the Class of 2021, and many colleges have announced continuing these policies for the Class of 2026. That said, with the continued uncertainty and the possibility of test scores being helpful to students' college applications, we encourage juniors to take an SAT or ACT test. Traditionally students take the SATs twice, to allow for super scoring.
If students are applying to schools with test optional policies, students can decide next year if they want to submit their scores.
Colleges and Universities that have Test Optional Practices & SAT and ACT Information
Many colleges and universities are continuing test optional admissions practices for the Class of 2026. While it is always best to confirm with specific colleges and universities their testing policies, Fair Test is an organization that tracks and lists schools with this option. Traditionally, schools with such practices take a more holistic approach in making application decisions.

Teacher College Recommendation Form
Once you have asked a teacher to write a letter of recommendation, please complete this form and give it to your teacher. Please also, request them as a recommender in your Naviance account.
Transcript Release Form
Please complete this form for each college to which you are applying. You may return it to the Counseling Office or email it to Mrs. Landgraf at klandgraf@htsd.us.
